Help me develop a new species? 83

Well, for the some of you that know Howls of the Lost, I find it to be getting quite boring, seeing as it is just a generic wolf and nothing else. So I've started to make a new species.
They have no name yet, but they are also known as The Devil's Dogs.
Why is this?
Because they hunt down the souls of those who have cheated and escaped death.

They are an aggressive, evil species of canine.They are genderless. Why is this? This answer is unknown. They will have something to differ males from females.
Once these canines have targeted a victim, they will hunt down and attack them until one or the other dies. But when these dogs die, they will 'regenerate' within a few days, sometimes weeks, depending on the severity of the bite.

Looks, this is what I need help developing. They have long, slender necks for reaching and seeing in high places. They have a long tail with a large tassle on the end, used for suffocating their victims.
But I need help with more things to go on them.

Ya ... I suppose they're not very original. What if they have claw things that grow out the back of their legs that are retractable? That's original. :3

Lol nice. LAZY PEOPLE, UNITE! Or they could have hook things on their tails and have super long tails so that they wrapvit around peoples neck and like constrict them by sinking the hooks into their victims neck and shoving the end of their tail down their throat.

Well that's the same basic idea as the tassle on their tail, it wraps around their through and covers their mouth and nose to suffocate them.

By the way the retractable claws won't work because of this pose xD You wouldn't see them.

I think I've got it.

It's got these attenae-like thing coming from it's head that help to enhance the dogs senses as it traces it's next victim
And males have short, spiky manes that travel down the length of their back, not like full lion manes.

I suggest bat wings as maybe an uncommon/rare marking that only "the best get".

Nah, if they're nothing like it, it won't be copying. :3 Just the name might be similar but I know skoey won't copyyyyy -pets-
I don't like doing wings xD Too hard
I'm thinking about doing something where the colour of the attanae help to decifer how old the dog is. The brighter and more vibrant it is, the older the dog is, the more kills it's made. The duller, the younger, because it hasn't killed as much

Nah, they'll interfere with the antennae.
